Ukrainian Oil Painting: Feasting on Bread

Slava Ukraini! In an effort to support Ukraine’s independent artisans and small shops, I have brought in a variety of hand-made craft directly from Ukraine. Lena Vylusk was born in the Donetsk region, and her oil paintings put characters, mostly animal, in unusual environments so the viewer can see their story in her work. Her pieces combine realism with the surreal. In this piece, an English sparrow perches atop a precarious stack of varied breads. Original and one of a kind oil painting on canvas with silver-painted edges.
