I was really excited recently to have discovered Anne Vaughn’s work—she’s a jewelry designer in Floyd, Virginia. Her work is elegant, sparkly, tasteful, can be dressed up or down, and is reasonably priced. She uses real stones and gems in lovely combinations. I almost sold out of what I had in stock of her work during the Studio Tour in November, and happily, I was able to restock in time for the holidays.
Brushstroke colors blend softly into one another across the Water Lily Collection. Strung as one continuous strand, the bracelet mixes golden and peacock freshwater pearls, a stack of rosy muscovite discs, prehnite and an array of plum, moss and amber faceted beads. Antique silver plated brass findings, lead and nickel free, finish the piece, and the length adjusts from 7.5 to 8.5 inches at a lobster clasp. Earthy tones like these sit comfortably with an oatmeal sweater and jeans on errand days.
