I was really excited recently to have discovered Anne Vaughn’s work—she’s a jewelry designer in Floyd, Virginia. Her work is elegant, sparkly, tasteful, can be dressed up or down, and is reasonably priced. She uses real stones and gems in lovely combinations. I almost sold out of what I had in stock of her work during the Studio Tour in November, and happily, I was able to restock in time for the holidays.
Inspired by tide pools and sea-washed light, the Seaside Collection leans into layered shades of blue. Wrapped in gold filled wire, a long leaf-shaped kyanite briolette streaked in deep blue hangs beneath a sterling silver cluster of pearls, iolite and kyanite rondelles. Hung from gold filled ear wires, the mixed metal design measures about 2 inches and is lead and nickel free. Save them for date night with a navy jumpsuit and strappy heels.
