I was really excited recently to have discovered Anne Vaughn’s work—she’s a jewelry designer in Floyd, Virginia. Her work is elegant, sparkly, tasteful, can be dressed up or down, and is reasonably priced. She uses real stones and gems in lovely combinations. I almost sold out of what I had in stock of her work during the Studio Tour in November, and happily, I was able to restock in time for the holidays.
Late light lingers in the Golden Hour Collection, an homage to sun-warmed earth and the slow turn toward autumn. These earrings hang a matte gold ring beneath a cluster of beads, among them deep red garnet, yellow jasper and olive and peach Czech glass, while a table-cut champagne glass coin swings below the ring. The matte gold plated brass is lead and nickel free, with matching ear wires and a 2-inch drop. Wine and honey tones go with burgundy, mustard and cream, from office to dinner.
