I was really excited recently to have discovered Anne Vaughn’s work—she’s a jewelry designer in Floyd, Virginia. Her work is elegant, sparkly, tasteful, can be dressed up or down, and is reasonably priced. She uses real stones and gems in lovely combinations. I almost sold out of what I had in stock of her work during the Studio Tour in November, and happily, I was able to restock in time for the holidays.
Ember carries the warm, shifting glow of a fire burning low, in the deep reds and golden ambers of autumn. A matte gold plated brass ring, lead and nickel free, is wrapped along its outer edge with faceted ruby, mustard-yellow mookaite, wine-red and olive Czech glass, and tiny cream accents, leaving the inner circle open. Matte gold plated brass ear wires match the 1.75-inch hoop. The jewel tones warm up a camel coat, a rust sweater, or a black dress at a harvest dinner.
