I was really excited recently to have discovered Anne Vaughn’s work—she’s a jewelry designer in Floyd, Virginia. Her work is elegant, sparkly, tasteful, can be dressed up or down, and is reasonably priced. She uses real stones and gems in lovely combinations. I almost sold out of what I had in stock of her work during the Studio Tour in November, and happily, I was able to restock in time for the holidays.

Matte texture does the talking in the Brushed Gold line, a group of everyday metal pieces made to go with almost anything. Each earring is a wide, flat ring of brushed gold plated brass, nickel and lead safe, that swings from a matte gold plated brass ear wire. At 2 inches long, the hoops frame the face with a clean, simple line. On weekends they suit a ponytail and a fitted tee, and at the office they add warmth to a charcoal blazer.
