I was really excited recently to have discovered Anne Vaughn’s work—she’s a jewelry designer in Floyd, Virginia. Her work is elegant, sparkly, tasteful, can be dressed up or down, and is reasonably priced. She uses real stones and gems in lovely combinations. I almost sold out of what I had in stock of her work during the Studio Tour in November, and happily, I was able to restock in time for the holidays.
Texture is the signature of Brushed Gold, giving familiar shapes a softer, more lived-in warmth. Sunburst brushing radiates across each rounded trapezoid, which opens at the center into a smaller window. Crafted from matte gold plated brass that is nickel and lead safe, the earrings hang about 1.75 inches on matte gold plated brass ear wires. Their modern lines look sharp against a black turtleneck at a gallery opening.
