I was really excited recently to have discovered Anne Vaughn’s work—she’s a jewelry designer in Floyd, Virginia. Her work is elegant, sparkly, tasteful, can be dressed up or down, and is reasonably priced. She uses real stones and gems in lovely combinations. I almost sold out of what I had in stock of her work during the Studio Tour in November, and happily, I was able to restock in time for the holidays.
Drifting light on a pond, slow and shimmering, sets the mood for Water Lily. Bronze, golden and peacock freshwater pearls lead down to a faceted blue-green teardrop, framed by pale prehnite, blush Czech glass, matte olive glass and stacks of slate-blue discs. Ranging from 17 to 19 inches, it fastens with an antique silver lobster clasp and is lead and nickel free. Holiday gatherings and a cream crew neck make a cozy backdrop for its teardrop.
