I was really excited recently to have discovered Anne Vaughn’s work—she’s a jewelry designer in Floyd, Virginia. Her work is elegant, sparkly, tasteful, can be dressed up or down, and is reasonably priced. She uses real stones and gems in lovely combinations. I almost sold out of what I had in stock of her work during the Studio Tour in November, and happily, I was able to restock in time for the holidays.
Between the mysterious and the newly blooming, the Persephone Collection has its range, and this strand sits firmly on the blooming side. Tiny faceted pink tourmaline beads shade from blush to rose around the full length, broken at the center by a short cluster of peridot, watermelon tourmaline and gold filled spacers. A gold filled lobster clasp adjusts the fit from 15 to 17 inches; the metal is lead and nickel free. It layers well under a longer pendant and brightens a white shirt or a linen dress.
