Decorative (not functional) large cameo bowl depicting a crow at sunset. The intricate churckey pattern surrounding the cameo is made by pressing one point at a time, by hand, with a can opener, and treated with a red iron oxide wash. Black glaze deep in the points, and on the exterior of the bowl. The crow is rendered in underglaze with a clear glaze over. The background gilding is metallic acrylic paint and is a reaction to our country’s experiencing a new gilded age, where the haves have left the have nots far behind. Extremely one of a kind.
