This is a very special large bowl. In the cameo at its center is an impression of cherry leaves on a branch, glazed in a light midnight blue. The frieze features the impression of a Virginia Creeper vine and leaves, glazed in light cornflower blue. Each element is surrounded by an intricate church-key pattern in red-iron oxide wash. The whole is trimmed in black. A statement piece, this bowl would be happily displayed in the center of a dining table, with or without fruit.
