Bud Vase with Grasses in Jade Celadon
This is one of a series of vases I made to test my celadon glazes on a new red clay body I’m trying out. Impressed with Japanese Stilt Grass, a terribly invasive species taking over lots of Virginia’s shaded forest grounds. Glazed in black and jade celadon, with red iron oxide on the churchkey pattern at the shoulder. Perfect for a stem or three of purple coneflower.
5.25” tall by 2.5” in diameter.
