Water Hemlock Lidded Jar in Moss with Red Berries

This beautiful lidded jar is from my sumi-e series, where I was trying to capture the essence-of-bird in a few brushstrokes of clay. Glazed in moss celadon with red clay “berry” accents and red iron oxide wash on the church-key patterns and on the bird. Poisonous water hemlock impression.
