Bud Vase with Grasses in Sapphire Celadon
This is one of a series of vases I made to test my celadon glazes on a new red clay body I’m trying out. Impressed with Japanese Stilt Grass, a terribly invasive species taking over lots of Virginia’s shaded forest grounds. Glazed in black and sapphire celadon, with red iron oxide on the churchkey pattern at the shoulder. Perfect for a spray of baby’s breath and a stem or two of salvia.
4” tall by 3” in diameter.
