Bud Vase with Grasses in Cornflower Blue
This is one of a series of vases I made to test my celadon glazes on a new red clay body I’m trying out. Impressed with Japanese Stilt Grass, a terribly invasive species taking over lots of Virginia’s shaded forest grounds. Glazed in black and light blue celadon, with red iron oxide on the churchkey pattern at the base. Perfect for a bouquet of brown-eyed Susans and butterfly bush sprigs.
6.25” tall by 3.25” in diameter.
