Tall Vase in Amber with Japanese Stilt Grass
This is one of a series of vases I made to test my celadon glazes on a new red clay body I’m trying out. Impressed with Japanese Stilt Grass, a terribly invasive species taking over lots of Virginia’s shaded forest grounds. Glazed in black and amber celadon, with red iron oxide on the churchkey pattern at the base. Perfect for a bouquet of sunflowers.
11” tall by 5.25” in diameter.
