Large Virginia Creeper Basket in Jade 2

$350.00
sold out

I made lots of these baskets back in the day for the Artful Home catalogue. As my Ellen Buff clay runs out, I thought it fitting to make four of them—two large and two small. The handles are pulled clay, and therefore somewhat fragile. Glazed in jade celadon, impressed with Virginia creeper leaves, and accented with red iron-oxide wash on the churchkey pattern at base and shoulder. Will hold water, so with a flower frog, it could be used as an interesting ikebana vase.
