In my search for new clay bodies to use in my work, I found that I love throwing with this black clay, but it doesn’t play well with glazes, so I created my Little Black Dress series of pots. Like that essential in your closet, these pots are elegant and simple, trimmed in black glaze with a little glitter added by pooling black glaze in a bubble pattern at the rim. This lidded jar sports a bird on the Japanese knob. 7” tall by 4.5” in diameter. (Sorry about the photo—it’s a bit dark!)
