Ogham Pitchers in Red and Black, Large

$98.00

These pitchers were experiments using a brown clay body and underglazes. Each is inscribed with three letters in Ogham, the Early Medieval alphabet used primarily to write the early Irish language. There are stone monuments left in Ireland inscribed (now very faintly) with this script. It reads from bottom to top. Check out an Ogham translator to see if you can figure out the three letters on each of these pitchers.

Glazed inside and out; watersafe, dishwasher safe.

8” tall by 4” in diameter by 5” across at the handle.
